This ‘fragrant’ gladiolus blooms in midsummer and grows to about 60cm high. When flowering, a star-shaped flower with a dark red heart forms. The Abyssinian gladiolus is preferably planted in a sunny location in a nutritious, water-permeable soil.

These organic flower bulbs come from Bloemoloog. The company was founded by Lieuwe and Roos, who grew up in a family where working with flower bulbs is not unknown. Since 2020, they have decided to focus on the market for organically grown flower bulbs. Marvy Green got to know Bloemoloog during the plant market at Trompenburg Arboretum and wanted to include the bulbs in her assortment.
